Guys, it’s August now! If you’re like me, you have no clue where the last 2 months went. We’re currently in the hottest month of the summer, but that won’t keep me out of the kitchen.
July was a steady month for The Little Pink Bakery, but August will get a little crazy. I have a 700 cake ball order that I’m excited to share with you next month!
But, if you’re ready to see what I whipped up in July, keep reading!
Red Velvet Cake Balls
These cake balls were red velvet dipped in white with maroon drizzle. My sister was in town early in July and wanted to bring these back to Tennessee with her. They were a hit!
Butterfly Cake Balls and Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops
Thanks to Instagram, I met a Cincinnati blogger who ordered strawberry cake balls for a friend’s baby shower and some ice cream cone cake pops to feature on her blog! The cake balls were dipped in shades of purple, some with purple drizzle and some with purple chocolate butterfly wings. The cones are dipped in pink with sprinkles, chocolate and an M&M “cherry” on top.
Purple Cake Balls
These purple cake balls went to a lovely birthday girl last week! She ordered ½ lemon and ½ vanilla cake with a purple dip and purple drizzle. This was my first time making lemon cake balls, but it definitely won’t be my last.
4th of July Cake Balls
These were the last of my bright July 4th orders! These were white cake with a white dip and red and blue drizzle. I love any holiday where I can do these colors because they just look good together!
Baby Shower Cake Balls
My husband’s aunt ordered these sweet cake pops for a triple baby shower at her work. These are ½ lemon cake and ½ vanilla cake with a white dip and blue and pink drizzle. I think baby shower cake balls are my 2nd favorite to make, 2nd only to the ice cream cone cake pops.
Lucky Charms Cake Balls
When my family was in town, we went to Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield to see what we could find. I bought a box of Lucky Charms marshmallows to try out on cake balls. I made vanilla cake balls with a green dip, marshmallow topping and white drizzle. I brought these and the cake pops below to our team night for the church we’re helping launch in Huber Heights!
White Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops
These simple cake pops were another batch that I brought to our launch team. These were strawberry cake dipped in white with sprinkles. I love how they match my tablecloth!
Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops
These sweet, pink cake pops went to a sweet little girl’s 1st birthday. These were strawberry cake dipped in pink with the standard ice cream cone toppings! I’ll never get tired of making these!
