November and December was insane with Thanksgiving and Christmas orders! It was my busiest 2 months yet, but I loved every minute of it. I won't go through all my holiday orders, but I wanted to show off some of my favorites.
Reindeer Cake Balls
I think these are my favorite cake balls from the entire holiday season. I had one order of these little Rudolphs. These were chocolate cake with a chocolate dip, pretzel horns, candy eyes and an M&M nose. These were also a big hit on Instagram!
Ornament Cake Balls
I love when customers send me ideas for their cake balls! One customer wanted ornament cake balls, so I found some cupcake toppers to use on some and used shimmery green and red sprinkles on others. The ornament toppers are Rolos dipped in grey melts.
Snowman Cake Balls
I've lost count of how many snowmen I created out of cake balls over the Christmas season. The cake balls were mostly chocolate and vanilla, all with a white dip, candy eyes, a candy nose, and mini-Oreo hat. I drew little smiles or dotted mouths on these little men, too.
Christmas Cake Balls
Most of my Christmas orders looked like this one. I had cake balls of all flavors going out to locations all across Cincinnati and Dayton. A local supermarket's catering department sent my cake balls out as "thank-yous" to their wedding vendors and a company in my town gave them out at their Christmas party. A majority of the orders went to my customer's families and friends, though.
Golden Snitch Cake Balls
This was an idea I've wanted to try for months. These Harry Potter-inspired cake balls were an instant hit on Facebook and Instagram, and I see why! The wings are made with the same dip as the cake balls and the cake ball has gold sprinkles on top. Boy, I want to make more of these ASAP!
Pineapple Upside Down Cake Balls
I had a few Thanksgiving orders and one was a Pineapple Upside Down cake ball that went to a dear friend in Dayton for her birthday and Thanksgiving. The cake balls were dipped in white with red and orange drizzles.
Turkey Cake Balls
I don't know what I'm going to do now that I have zero orders in for cake balls with eyes. These, the snowmen, and the reindeer killed me! These turkeys were so much fun to make and I loved the reaction they got! The tail feathers and the nose were both made from candy corn.
If you have anything you’d like me to try (or if you’d like to order), please send the idea or recipe to email@example.com and you might just see the recipe on this site soon!
