Happy New Year!
Can you believe we're already a month into 2017? I sure can't!
After a crazy busy November and December, I'm happy that January was a slow month for the bakery. Normally, a business owner would hate a slow month, but not me.
I used January to recharge my batteries and to spend time with friends and family. I celebrated my 27th birthday, took a long weekend, and even tried a new recipe (which will be in a blog post soon!).
I only had 5 or 6 orders last month, so this will be an easy read. Come back next month to see all my pink and lovey-dovey cake balls that I'm already starting on!
Baby Shower Cake Balls
This was the first order of 2017! These cake balls went out to a baby shower for a mom-to-be in Maineville. These chocolate and vanilla cake balls were dipped in white and blue with matching drizzle.
Bridal Shower Cake Balls
These gold and glittery cake balls were so fun to make. I love using the gold sugar on everything and the rose mold produces beautiful flowers. This order went to a bridal shower in Middletown. These were chocolate and vanilla cake balls with white and gold dip, gold sugar and black and white flowers.
Cake Balls for Friends and Family
If you're a regular reader, you can probably guess that these are my dad's monthly order of cake balls (he actually had a few last month!). He got his usual chocolate cake balls and let me pick the white dip and baby pink drizzle.
Along with his order, I put together the boxes shown below for some friends that I met for lunch the same weekend. They got the same cake balls as my dad as well as some vanilla cake balls, too! I was told that my friends couldn't eat just one :)
Triplet's 2nd Birthday Cake Pops
One of my first orders after starting the bakery was for a first birthday for a set of triplets in Lebanon. This year, I got to make cake balls for their 2nd birthday! They had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party, so I made chocolate cake pops with black dip and red and pink drizzle along with vanilla cake pops dipped in white with blue and purple drizzle.
Their mom sent me an adorable picture of the trio enjoying their cake pops, which you can see on my Facebook page!
If you have anything you’d like me to try (or if you’d like to order), please send the idea or recipe to email@example.com and you might just see the recipe on this site soon!
