February Orders

Welcome to the third month of 2017!

February is always my favorite month to make cake balls and cake pops for because I get to use everything PINK! This month was mainly orders for Valentine's Day, so prepare yourself for a lot of reds, pinks and love.

This month, I also worked on my first styled photo shoot with a plethora of amazing wedding vendors from Dayton and Cincinnati. Keep an eye out for a blog post all about that shoot once I'm able to share!

For now, keep reading to see what I created over the past month.

Chocolate Cake Balls Cincinnati

Chocolate and Red Velvet Cake Balls

My first order for February was for another wedding vendor Lisa, whose business is linked on my Preferred Vendors page

This order was chocolate cake balls dipped in chocolate with a white drizzle and red velvet cake balls dipped in white with a white drizzle.

Cincinnati Valentine's Day Cake Balls

Family Valentine's Cake Balls

In addition to orders, I also made a variety of cake balls for friends and family. The cake balls were a mix of red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla. All cake balls had a white dip with either pink and red drizzle, sprinkles, gold foil, or pink and red hearts and lips.

Children's Valentine's Day Cake Balls

Valentine's Day Party Cake Pops

These sweet cake pops went out to an elementary school near Cincinnati for their Valentine's Day party. These cake pops were red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla (seeing a theme this month?) with white dip and red or pink drizzle or sprinkles. I individually wrapped each cake pop in this order, too.

Dayton Baby Shower Cake Balls

Baby Shower Cake Balls

In the midst of all the pinks and reds, I made these gray cake balls for a baby shower near Dayton. These were chocolate cake balls dipped in gray with mint and pale pink drizzle. This gray might be my new favorite color for cake balls!

Lebanon Ohio Pineapple Upside Down Cake Balls

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Balls

We can't have a monthly blog post without Pineapple Upside Down cake balls, and I made plenty of those this month! These were dipped in white with these lovely Valentine's sprinkles.

Mason Ohio Pool Table Cake Balls

Pool Table Cake Balls

This was another order of Pineapple Upside Down cake balls. If you can't tell, these are pool table cake balls that a customer ordered for her billiards-loving boyfriend. These numbers are all done by hand onto white melt disks and the cake balls are dipped in coordinating colors.

Huber Heights Valentine's Day Cake Balls

Valentine's Day Cake Balls

While detailed cake balls are fun, I'm still a sucker for these simple cake balls. These vanilla cake balls went out to a lucky wife on Valentine's Day after her husband ordered them as a surprise. These were dipped in white with red drizzle

Cincinnati Cake Ball Delivery

Valentine's Day Cake Ball Delivery

I had a first this month! I had a lady contact me from Chicago to see if I was able to deliver cake balls to her sister on Valentine's Day. She apparently contacted multiple Cincinnati bakeries who were unable to deliver on her behalf. Both her and her sister were happy with the chocolate and vanilla cake balls that were dipped in pink and black, which were the customer's sister's favorite colors.

Trolls Movie Cake Balls

"Trolls" Inspired Cake Balls

This order was for a customer who was having a "Trolls"-inspired birthday party for their daughter, who loves Guy Diamond. I made chocolate and vanilla cake balls dipped in a blueish gray with a white drizzle. I topped the cake balls off with a glitter because you can't have Guy Diamond cake balls without a sparkle!

Waynesville Gluten Free Cake Balls

Gluten Free Birthday Cake Balls

These gluten-free cake balls went out to a birthday toward the end of the month. I made gluten-free birthday cake/funfetti cake balls dipped in white with Birthday Cake Crumble on top. You can find a recipe for this cake and crumble here

Dayton Nutter Butter Cookie Truffles

Nutter Butter Cookie Truffles

February ended with a flutter of Nutter Butter cookie truffles. I made these for my husband for Valentine's Day and then I made a few more batches the last weekend of February. Most of these cookie truffles are dipped in white with crushed cookie on top, but I did have one batch dipped in chocolate.

Dayton Pineapple Upside Down Cake Balls

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Balls

The last order of the month was Pineapple Upside Down cake balls dipped in chocolate with a white drizzle. This was the first time I've made this type of cake ball with a chocolate dip, but it works!
